RERA registration number
The unique number a state RERA authority gives a registered project. It must appear on every advertisement, brochure and website listing.
Once a state authority registers a project, it issues a registration number, for example a MahaRERA number starting with P5. Each phase registered separately gets its own number.
Section 11(2) of the RERA Act requires every advertisement or prospectus to mention the authority's website address and the project's registration details. Some states add more. MahaRERA, for instance, has required a QR code linked to the project's registration page on advertisements since 1 August 2023.
Watch outBefore any campaign goes live, check the registration number and QR code on every creative: Meta ads, portal listings, hoardings, WhatsApp brochures and the website. Channel partners must use them too.
