Token amount
A small payment, often ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh, taken at the site visit or on a call to hold a unit briefly until the full booking amount is paid.
Also called: token money
A token amount is a small, early payment that shows commitment and secures a unit for a short period. It is common at the end of a successful site visit, when the buyer has picked a unit but needs a few days for the booking amount.
Tokens need clear written terms: how long the hold lasts, whether the token is adjustable against the booking amount, and when it is refundable. Ambiguous token terms lead to disputes.
TipLink a token to a time-limited unit hold in your inventory. When the hold expires without booking, the unit should return to available automatically, with the rep and manager notified.
